Graduate Nurse Programs
Applicants must be newly qualified and registered with the Nurses and Midwives Board of Western Australia.
Registered Nurses
To assist the transition of newly registered nurses in their first year of nursing practice.
- 12 month program (54 weeks) on a permanent contract
- Clinical rotations across acute medical/surgical specialties
- Preceptor support in each area
- Competency based orientation / assessment
- Structured education program (8 study days)
- Quality improvement project and presentation
Graduates can enrol, as part of the Graduate Program, in a Graduate Certificate in Clinical Nursing.
Program applications for February 2011 close on 25 June 2010.
Enrolled Nurses
To assist the transition of newly enrolled nurses in their first year of nursing practice.
- 6 month program
- Two clinical rotations
- Preceptor and clinical instructor support in each area
- Competency based orientation / assessment
- Four designated study days & three tutorials
- Medication Administration course
- Peer Presentation
